Developed in collaboration with Nathan Schickel, Zipp Product Manager, the SL 80 Race satisfies the specific needs of the drivetrain controls, providing maximum comfort in both the hoods and the drops, while also improving aerodynamics.

This handlebar is Zipp’s first designed specifically for a road groupset, featuring unique characteristics like Blip placement points and ergonomic shapes that facilitate every movement.

AXS Integration

The Zipp SL 80 Race was designed in conjunction with SRAM RED AXS, providing the rider with seamless integration between the two. The SL 80 Race handlebar also has defined marks on the drops and top bar to facilitate the placement of SRAM Wireless Blips.

Ergonomic Design

The hanger features a shelf to cover the brake hose as it exits the hood. This shelf creates a platform that engages with the brake lever, providing an ideal position for your hands when riding uphill. The shape of the drops has been perfected to give the rider easy access to the brake lever while descending.

Aerodynamic Efficiency

The top of the bar is wing-shaped to improve aerodynamic efficiency, while also including key innovations for comfortable riding on the top of the bar. Ideal for long climbs or for those who like to grip the top of the bar, the top has a slight downward slope, so your hands aren’t flat.
